Adult Sunday School Classes

Our church has 2 Adult Sunday School Classes, one for Senior Adults and one for all ages.  They are both focused on Discipleship; the Senior Adult Class uses books such as “Disciplines for the Inner LIfe” (Benson) or “A Guide to Prayer for All Who Seek God” (Upper Room Books).  The other class uses a variety of books which are bible studies or topical authored by popular religious authors.  In addition to the Adult Sunday School classes, there are periodic Bible Studies which are seasonal and taught by our Pastor.

Youth & Children’s Ministries

Our church provides excellent teachers and facilities for all ages.  The teachers all love children and have completed “Safe Sanctuary” training.  We currently are an older congregation without an active youth or children group.  However, we are prepared for all visiting families with children of any age and are praying as God provides for more young families to join us.

Community Ministries

Our church is very active in Community Ministries and a large percentage of the congregation serves in at least one, and often many, of the ministries.  We have multiple activities to support the Valmead Elementary School focused on wonderful children who come from homes which need support.  These activities include the Angel Tree gifts at Christmas time, a Backpack ministry during the school year, and an annual Back-to-School breakfast for the teachers and staff.

Other Community Ministries include providing the food and serving at the Lenoir Soup Kitchen, hosting Red Cross Blood Drives, and providing food for the Yokefellow Food Pantry.

Our Adult Sunday School Classes are also very active in visiting homebound seniors who are always thankful for the special attention our church gives them.

Annual Activities at Valmead School:

  • Angel Tree Ministry
  • Backpack Ministry
  • Back-to-School Breakfast

Our Church Supports/Hosts:

  • Red Cross Blood Drives
  • Yokefellow of Caldwell County
  • Visitation for Homebound Seniors

We would love to have you join us for any of our classes, small groups or outreach ministry efforts!
